Memories … they can be held in your heart AND in your arms.
Can you imagine the comfort of holding close to you a teddy bear made from the well-worn work shirt of your husband who recently passed away? Or the bear made from an apron that your grandmother wore when you made cookies together? Or the bear made from the t-shirt with a graphic that your son loved and wore every day?
At Vidant Home Health and Hospice, we know the value of having a tangible reminder of your loved one. That’s why we are hosting a Memory Bear Workshop to help you and other grieving families.
Although nothing, not even time, can completely heal the pain of losing a cherished family member, memory bears do provide a sense of comfort to those grieving. At the memory bear workshop, you will work with a volunteer seamstress to create a unique bear stitched together from an article of clothing that belonged to your loved one.
Lunch provided for workshop participants and volunteers.
