Saturday, May 12, 2018 – 8:00 AM Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend on the beach on the exciting Outer Banks of North Carolina! Honor Mom … enjoy great beaches, nature and history.

Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend on the beach on the exciting Outer Banks of North Carolina! Honor Mom … enjoy great beaches, nature and history … run a race through The Nature Conservancy’s Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve … enjoy great local restaurants — Do it all on a beautiful, Spring weekend! The fun begins at 7:00 with the Double! The traditional 5K race starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 12th. In between, there’s the Fun Run 1-Miler for kid’s of all ages. The 5K course for both races is an out-and-back course that covers gently rolling terrain on hard-packed dirt in the woods. Cheer for Mom as she competes for the Fastest Mom on the Beach trophy! North Banks Rotary Club, in partnership with Outer Banks Kiwanis Club, hosts the race. All net proceeds go to support local charities, youth programs, local schools and military relief charities.
