Event Details

Reggae rock singer-songwriter Kyle Smith, from Ventura, California, offers his blend of Southern California style reggae with Ska, Punk Rock, & Hip Hop that is catchy, truthful, and humorous. Kyle's roots come from years of his troubled youth and addiction while living in Long Beach, CA. His songs explain his life as a young addict with songs like “Dope Fiend” and “Jaded” all the while keeping an uplifting spirit and tempo. Kyle is a warrior, and a beacon of light whose goal in life is to give hope and spread positive vibes with his music. His talent is raw, natural, and unforced. Whether solo with his guitar, or backed with a band, Kyle stands tall and proud. With a flash of his smile he immediately warms up the room and invites you into his world.

On 9/24/2021, his first full length album "Lost Cause" was released on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and all other major digital outlets and charted at #2 Reggae Album. Kyle has been touring nationally for years and has recently been on the festival circuit for California Roots Festival, Reggae Rise Up Festival (Florida & Vegas), Mammoth Reggae Festival, and being added to more every month. Kyle has also been featured on internet and radio stations all over the country including, 92.9 KJEE, 91.9 KCSB, Surf Roots Radio, and more.

As for the future, Top 40 domination is inevitable. Kyle’s music is going to spark and inspire a new generation of reggae rock enthusiasts

A fresh rock-reggae groove is flowing out of the nation’s capital, and their name is Dale and the ZDubs. A distinct reggae influence intertwined with a hard-hitting rock style, DZD’s songs tell raw and oftentimes ridiculous stories. High-energy live shows feature multi-part vocal harmonies, along with thick guitar-driven melodies. And sometimes Dale gets naked. DZD’s absolute obsession with performing live is the catalyst of their 150+ show dates a year all across the country. The most recent studio album, Tuna, produced by Jim Ebert (Everclear) and Jason “Jocko” Randall (John Brown’s Body), is streaming everywhere.

George Spits is the name, and Llamabeats is the crew. Born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Miami, FL, Spits has been making a name for himself in the music industry doing everything from engineering songs for Damien Marley and Nas, to rapping on stage with G. Love, and producing #1 Reggae Billboard charting records with bands like Slightly Stoopid and ¡MAYDAY! Besides several high school punk bands, Spits began performing live with his moniker in 2008 alongside his band Llamabeats in Miami, FL. Their sound has been compared to the likes of The Beastie Boys, Sublime, and The Pharcyde. After gaining local traction, they began opening up for, and billing with several acts like Matisyahu, Big Boi (Outkast), Blackalicious, Murs and Wax Tailor. They have toured the country together and performed showcases and events such as SXSW (2011) and The Colorado High Times Cannabis Cup Expo (2014). He along with Llamabeats moved out to Los Angeles in 2015 and continued performing on the west coast, as well as producing and writing songs in the studio for several artists such as Slightly Stoopid, Kyle Smith, ¡MAYDAY!, Charles Hamilton, Wrekonize and Kendall Morgan .

The band has also spawned side projects such as Friends of Monsters, and individual solo acts such as Master Fade, Nardo Lombardo (Stoopid Records), and of course George Spits. Even throughout the 2020 lockdown, Spits and Llamabeats managed to release the first two vinyl records pressed through their own record label Llamabeats Music; “Too Stoned” by George Spits featuring Slightly Stoopid, and Friends of Monsters self titled debut album Friends of Monsters (LP) which features several artists like Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, and Dela of Slightly Stoopid. They also put together a full at home live performance video of the entire album including every musician involved. It’s called “F.O.Mo LIVE(ish) from the (not so) Lock Down”.

Equipped with his guitars and machines, Spits’ live set is an amalgamation of live instrumentation, traditional emcee qualities rooted in the golden era of hip-hop and reggae toasting, and studio techniques such as drum programming, dubbed out effects, live sound/instrument looping, and sampling. He is a true sound junkie capable of creating sonically intriguing soundscapes backed by speakerbox rattling beats, all live and from scratch.
